Perform a "Direct Address Query" with the FiberLocator™ map tool to determine whether a particular building is near an existing fiber optic cable backbone.

FiberLocator Backbone Map

NEF, Inc. has developed a FiberLocator™ interactive map, which is inked to a database with routes from over 70 carriers in 120 metropolitan areas. With this tool, you will be able to locate dark fiber with a direct address query. The database is carrier neutral. However, it does not include the major telecommunications companies such as Verizon and AT&T. (Typically, telcos do not lease fiber or provide connectivity to other carriers.) This service also includes articles and diagrams about dark fiber.

FiberLocator™ maps are very detailed. By performing a "direct address query," It is possible to determine if a particular building is near or connected to an existing fiber optic backbone.
