Xanadoo Company is one of the first and only 4G wireless internet operators in the U.S. to bring WiMAX to America’s Heartland. Launched in 2006, Xanadoo provides innovative, mobile broadband solutions to multiple cities in Texas, Oklahoma and Illinois.

In early 2009, Xanadoo launched its first 4G markets in Springfield and Decatur, IL, with plans to expand 4G into current and future markets.

Xanadoo’s WiMAX network is powered by a 4th generation technology that offers internet users speeds comparable to wireline technologies, like cable and DSL, with the mobility of traditional cellular voice service.

With features like no phone or cable requirements, instant set-up and no contract options, Xanadoo is a more affordable and more flexible alternative to cable and DSL.

Utilizing the Cisco Internet Protocol Next-Generation Network (IP NGN) infrastructure for its mobile WiMAX networks, Xanadoo is the only North American WiMAX network operator to be selected as a designated Cisco Powered partner.

Xanadoo is also a licensee of 700 MHz spectrum covering almost 1.56 million people in major markets, such as New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Miami, Tampa, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. Xanadoo expects that 4G will be deployed in the 700 MHz frequency band.
